Shooter Jennings & the .357s
Core-band years, from the outlaw-country foundation through the early records.
2005–07Transmission 01 / Redlands → Nashville
Singer. Songwriter. Guitarist. Producer. The cosmic cowboy who kept the country stories, turned the guitar toward the stars, and never asked either one to behave.

OUTNew album / 2026
The rock record you never asked for.
Nine songs. Forty-three minutes. Leroy Powell at full voltage—guitars up, wheels down, and no interest in taking the straight road home.
Back-to-back release / 2026
New record. Old songs. Every one with a story.
The other half of Leroy’s 2026 one-two punch: a record of songs pulled out of the archive and put back in the room where they can breathe again.
THETwo records. One year. No leftovers.

The Messengers / 2015
The cosmic big bang.
The record where the big strange universe locked into orbit: country bones, space-rock nerve, and a full-band invitation to leave the map behind.
Every era, every signal
From the earliest Leroy Powell records through the Messengers, Stone Jack Ballers, Whiskey Wolves, The Vault, and Shoot the Moon, the full living catalog is waiting on the official artist channels.
Chapter 01 / The origin
Before Nashville, there was Redlands—campfire guitar, folk and country songs, and the raw beginning of a player who would grow up listening to Waylon Jennings, Black Sabbath, John Coltrane, Gram Parsons, and whatever else opened the next door.
That is why the catalog doesn’t make sense as a single genre. It is supposed to feel like a night drive where the radio keeps finding stranger stations.
2015 / The Messengers
From The Overlords of the Cosmic Revelation—the cosmic big bang in the Leroy Powell catalog.
Hear The Overlords ↗The road atlas
A player comes through the .357s. A bandleader builds the Messengers. A concept record finds the edge of the universe. The work keeps moving—into studios, other artists’ records, Whiskey Wolves of the West, and the next transmission.
LEROYThe player
Before the mythology, there is still the player in the room: a guitar in hand, a song on the way, and another signal waiting to go somewhere.

The credits are the proof: not a pile of famous names, but real instruments, real roles, and years in the work.

Firewater—a record shaped by the room as well as the control board.
2011Mountain steel guitar
High Top Mountain, selected tracks with another color on the horizon.
2013Guitar / harmonica / pedal steel
Set in Stone, a role that needs more than one instrument to explain.
2021The deep archive
Leroy’s covers aren’t decoration. They are the field notes: hand-drawn outlaw visions, Atlantis tridents, deathrides, and a cosmic revelation waiting to be opened.

A trident-deep broadcast where the world-building gets louder.

Engine noise, bones, and stories built to leave a little dirt on the needle.

Black-and-white smoke, outlaw hymns, and another Messengers chapter.

The big door. Space-rock mythology with real country bones underneath it.

23 songs. One hour forty minutes. Hard country, hard rock, and no genre fence.

A new record of old songs, ready to listen to or take home.
